 ty.net/sessionPop.cfm?confid=121&proposalid=9911\n<p>As digital transformat
ion continues to disrupt organizations, the demand to harness data as a bus
iness asset is increasing. To better manage their data and reduce the risks
associated with poor data quality, many organizations either have or are n
ow planning to recruit a Chief Data Officer (CDO). Indeed, at organizations
where there is not currently a CDO role, more than half of their CIOs (55%
) say that they would like to see this role created in the next year.</p>\n
<p>In this session, we&rsquo;ll share our findings from more than 50 CDO in
terviews. We&rsquo;ll discuss how the role has changed over the last severa
l years, and how the realities of the position may differ from the expectat
ions set forth. Other topics will include:&nbsp;</p>\n\n
A snapshot of the average CDO&nbsp;\n
 Core responsibilities of the CDO&nbsp;\n
 The CDO&rsquo;s reporting structure&nbsp;\n
The relationship between the CDO and CIO&nbsp;\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n
