 of siloed business data and support our mission of regulating U.S. securiti
 es markets, FINRA migrated core systems to the cloud with a data footprint 
 of 20+ petabytes. Our open-source data management product, Herd, is a funda
 mental component of our success. Herd is a self-service, centralized metada
 ta repository that tracks the creation and evolution of data schemas, versi
 ons, and lineage. Data is no longer trapped in proprietary applications or 
 appliances. Teams across the enterprise can publish and access data from an
 y tool in the rapidly-evolving big data processing and analytics space. Two
  cases illustrate how FINRA leveraged Herd to tear down the data walls. Fir
 st, FINRA&rsquo;s enterprise data catalog overlays business metadata on Her
 d&rsquo;s physical and operational metadata and allows consumers to locate 
 and understand data across the enterprise. Second, FINRA&rsquo;s ad hoc que
 ry platform allows users to analyze anything in the catalog across petabyte
