FIBO has nine distinct products in two maturity levels. FIBO Production is those ontologies that have been vetted by FIBO Content Teams and accepted by the FIBO Leadership Team. FIBO Development includes FBBO Production and those ontologies that are in various stages of completeness and testing. Each FIBO product is automatically generated from the RDF/OWL system of record which is also a distinct product delivered in four dialects. FIBO products range from a single web searchable glossary of Concepts, a Visual OWL representation, to various downloadable formats including CSV, XLS, and the RDF/OWL. At the end of each calendar quarter, the FIBO Team publishes additional content, updates existing products, and from time to time, posts new products. This presentation will walk through FIBO products (with examples) and show how each can be accessed.
Dennis Wisnosky provides technical strategy and operational guidance to the EDM Council with regard to finalizing and implementing the FIBO standards. Dennis brings extensive experience of enterprise architecture, ontology development, and semantic web technology from his former role as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect in the U.S. Department of Defense Business Mission Area, within the Office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer and his many years of system development and deployment in the private sector.
