This Case study explains how the 23 NYCRR 500 - Cybersecurity Requirements for Financial Services Companies impacts an organization and how using the well-known data management body of knowledge wheel facilitates an organization’s ability to comply with regulations like this now and in the future. The DMBOK is effective for describing the many facets of information responsibilities as well as tasks needed to mature an organization. This presentation will:

  • Provide a quick review of the wedges of the DMBOK – focusing on the items of the regulation
  • Share the NY Cybersecurity Regulation from a data architect’s perspective
  • Methods we used to illustrate compliance, including working with leaders from our business
  • Share a few ideas about anticipated future regulations
